- Turnitin.com subscription
tool for helping prevent & detect Internet plagiarism - the
service began as a part of Plagiarism.org which
still maintains resources for faculty.
- The
Plagiarism Resource Site at the University of Virginia
offers Copyfind - a free program that examines
a collection of document files. It extracts the text portions
of those documents and looks through them for matching words
in phrases of a specified minimum length. When it finds two
files that share enough words in those phrases, it generates
html report files. These reports contain the document text
with the matching phrases underlined. There is a Windows and
a Mac version available for download.
- WordCHECK
KeyWORD software
a tool to help detect plagiarism, it checks keyword uses and keyword
frequencies
in electronic documents
- Eve2:
Stop Internet Plagiarism NOw?
EVE (Essay Verification Engine) checks for plagiarized material from the
Web using material in plain text, Word, or Word Perfect format and returns
